The bolts come directly from ARP (Automotive Racing Products) and are designed for bolting the flywheel to the crankshaft. ARP uses high-strength material, heat treatment, and rolled threads. The 260-2801 is designed as an 8-piece set.

You need these bolts, among other things, when combining the CC-Clutch flywheel with an OEM or OEM-style clutch. Due to the head height of the OEM bolts, this is not always compatible, for example. Furthermore, Toyota only specifies these bolts for single use, and a set at Toyota costs almost the same.

The flat 12-point head (multi-tooth socket!) enables a defined tool engagement, while the larger shank area compared to the standard version is aimed at a correspondingly robust design of the connection.

Installation – important with ARP

ARP expressly specifies for the 260-2801 not to use washers. The bolts are designed for installation without washers. Furthermore, ARP requires the use of Loctite 242 on the threads as well as ARP Ultra-Torque under the bolt head. The bolts should then be tightened in a crisscross or alternating pattern to 60 ft-lb (approx. 81 Nm).

The ARP installation instructions are decisive here. During installation, it should also be ensured that the existing holes in the flywheel have a sufficient chamfer so that the radius under the bolt head does not stand out.
