The TRD GR Key Cover MS423-18001 is an original licensed Toyota GR accessory for the Toyota GR86 and significantly enhances the standard car key. Not a universal accessory, not a cheap key case, but a genuine GR Parts item with clean material selection and precisely that small detail factor that you appreciate in a special vehicle like the GR86.

The outer shell is made of aramid fiber with a thickness of approximately 0.6 mm. The material is extremely thin, lightweight, and at the same time very durable. Visually, the twill weave structure strongly resembles carbon, but technically it is deliberately aramid fiber. The matte coating provides a pleasant feel and makes the key grippier in everyday use, without looking like an aftermarket accessory.

The surrounding bumper is precisely machined from a solid aluminum block and then anodized. This not only creates the beautiful colored accent but also a high-quality, pleasantly solid feel in the hand. Especially compared to the normal plastic key, the GR Key Cover looks significantly more refined without being exaggerated or artificial.

In GR86 and BRZ communities, the key cover is often seen as a small but very harmonious detail: not strictly necessary, but exactly the kind of part that makes you happy every time you pick up the key. At the same time, one should remain realistic: the aluminum frame is high-quality, but certainly not an indestructible protective cage. If you regularly drop your key or treat it very roughly, you should handle anodized aluminum parts with appropriate care.

The key cover fits the Toyota GR86 with the corresponding original car key. Technically, it also fits the Subaru BRZ II, provided the same key type is used. However, since it is an original licensed Toyota GR/TRD product, the part carries the Toyota GR look accordingly and is more of a conscious style choice for BRZ drivers.
